Rena Karanouh is a graphic designer and award winning illustrator. Working largely with drawings, she is motivated by a variety of approaches that allow her to translate her worldview into visuals. She has continuously practiced and exhibited her work since receiving her BA from Middlesex University in London, UK, and her MFA from SVA in New York City. Rena has a PhD from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, working on visual storytelling using oral history and on-location sketching to examine current events in creative ways. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Rena now resides and works in Kingston, Canada.
